RABBI POLIRER AT-LARGE

CONGREGATION BETH HILLEL of MARGATE

Rabbi Polirer is the Spiritual Leader of Congregation Beth Hillel of Margate. During the past five years, he has guided this small and homey (the Yiddish term is Haim-ish, meaning warm and cozy like a true Jewish home) Temple as its Rabbi, Cantor, Torah-reader, and Adult Ed lecturer. A Senior Congregation located adjacent to the Oriole Golf and Tennis Club, at the Village Shoppes of Margate on the corner of 76th Avenue and Margate Blvd., Beth Hillel has been a fixture in the area for 30 years. It is home to 400 members year round, and its seating capacity of nearly 550 is strained almost to its limit each and every High Holiday Season, as a broad mixture of all age groups flock to hear the rabbi preach and teach, chant and cantillate through a Traditional-yet-modern Service. Indeed, many in the pews are the rabbi’s own students and their parents, enjoying yet another inspiring holiday with THEIR rabbi. YOU can be part of something wonderful at Beth Hillel. Won’t you give it a try. You WILL love it.

Rabbi Polirer conducts Friday Evening Prayers each Sabbath Eve at 8:00 PM. At Congregation Beth Hillel of Margate. His Service is punctuated by familiar tunes and newer chants, by timely readings from the award-winning modern prayerbook, Likrat Shabbat, and by sizzling sermons – sometimes one, sometimes even two, if you’re lucky -- that speak to our day and every generation. So light your candles and come down to Beth Hillel – and be ready to sing your heart out!

For the Traditionalist in our midst, Beth Hillel offers the finest in Sabbath Morning Prayer. With Rabbi Polirer in the pulpit, this Service, beginning at 8:45 A.M., represents the very finest in liturgical art and communal prayer. This is the rich service you remember as a child, the one you thought was gone forever. Recapture a bye gone era in a modern setting by spending your Shabbat mornings at Congregation Beth Hillel with Rabbi Polirer. And to top it all off, there is a Kiddush after Services each week, sponsored by Sisterhood and private donors. So come and feed your soul, and grab a nosh, too.
